Customer Contact Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Customer Contact Specialist to join our sales department. Working closely with our team of field based sales engineers, this phone-based role, focuses on making qualified appointments from selected customers, following up on strategic quotes, and identifying face to face opportunities for the field sales teams from exhibition leads and other marketing activities. The ideal candidate will have a polished telephone manner, excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Field Sales Team and Sales Management to maximise the number of face to face visits Field Sales Engineers have with our customers.
  • Conduct outbound calls to selected qualified customers and schedule appointments.
  • Follow up on strategic quotes, gather, provide and communicate additional information required to move the sales process forward.
  • Follow up exhibition enquiries and develop opportunities to existing and potential clients, ensuring maximum engagement.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted strategies for customer outreach.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, appointments, and follow-up activities in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on customer insights, market trends, and potential areas for business growth.
  • Continuously improve call scripts and appointment-setting techniques for better outcomes.
  • Be aware of and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the appointment scheduling process.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a customer service or telemarketing role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional phone demeanour.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers & colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet appointment-setting metrics.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Training will be given.
  • Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.

 Location & Hours

Office based role.

Ideally a full time role but part time would be considered.
