Pressure sensors

Pressure transmitters are absolutely necessary in the oil and gas industry for process pressure and hydrostatic pressure measurement as well as for differential pressure applications. In the challenging upstream and heavy oil processes, accurate density measurement is indispensable for reliably distinguishing between oil, water, emulsion and solids like sand, which form layers in process vessels. Radiometric systems enable continuous density monitoring and reliable detection of density differences, even under extreme process conditions and in the presence of thick, multi-layered emulsions. Where other technologies fail, they provide precise level and interface measurements – contactlessly, even through metal tank walls, insulation and heavy buildup.
