VEGA, a global leader in level and pressure measurement technology for the processing industry, officially broke ground today on a 120,000-square-foot addition to its existing 120,000-square-foot advanced production facility at its North American headquarters located in the City of Mason.

VEGA has experienced tremendous growth since opening their new Americas headquarters in the City of Mason’s new Research & Development park in 2022. The expansion, led by Cincinnati-based Messer Construction, will enable VEGA to solidify their US supply chain with domestic production of electronic components and reduce its carbon footprint through the elimination of overseas shipping of components. There is no expected impact to current production during construction.

“People are our most valuable assets at VEGA,” said John Groom, CEO of VEGA Americas. “The one thing I am most proud of is that in my sixteen years as a managing director at VEGA I have not had to lay one person off due to economic contraction. We are expanding ahead of schedule, and the efforts of our employees are the number one reason why we are able to do so.”

The expansion, expected to complete in the third quarter of 2025, will initially create 31 new full-time jobs and will enable VEGA to domestically produce electronic components it currently imports from the company’s global headquarters in Schiltach, Germany.
